Where to play

Bar 64, Barcelona

A chess cocktail bar at Pg. de Sant Joan, 23

Before you come

Do I need to be good at chess?

No. Knowing how the pieces move is enough. Most people come for the company, not to win.

Can I come on my own?

Yes. You’ll see who’s coming before you leave, so there’ll be someone to play.

Who will I meet there?

Bar regulars, people new to the city, and anyone up for a game.

How much is it?

Nothing. The app and the tickets are free; you only pay for drinks.

What language is it in?

Each night shows its language. The app is in English, Spanish, Catalan, Russian and Ukrainian.

Plans changed?

Change your time in the app, or give your ticket back before it starts. An hour before, the app checks you’re still coming, so the list only shows people who are.
